Chess says everything about a husband and wife. The king has to take things one step at a time while the wife can do whatever she wants.

"Always be prepared for checkmate in life"

"Its not nice when someone captures your queen in a chess game, but also in life!"

YouAreHaveStupid

"It's more importand to use your pawns nicely than the other pieces"

"All the small things and emotions in life are more important than the big ones"

Baltoun

The Spasski's quote isn't like I read somewhere. It was rather : "How do you like Queens better ? In your bed or at the chessboard ?" Spasski answered : "It depens of the position."

The joke goes smoother in french since we can say both "Queens" and "Dames".

Chess is not always about winning. Sometimes it's simply about learning and so is life.
