Doesn't really matter. You need to do puzzles, an hour a day on chesstempo should help. Just work out the solution before you move...then figure out why the solution was what it was.

If I'm playing white I always start with some variant of D4 and if I'm playing black then i'll try the Sicilian.
is e4 the best start move or a different move. i think people go e4 much more then others and a wonder which move is better
