What distinguishes Fischer among other world champions after his reign?

" If I win a tournament, I win it by myself. I do the playing. Nobody helps me."- Bobby Fischer

I think there is no need for elaboration from the above statement. And I think nobody can disprove it.

I can't believe all those people who want to prove that beloved Bobby didn't play chess!Laughing

I think Fischer must be referring to when the Soviets would rig the tournaments so that they would win.

I miss his chess play, but I don't miss him.

What I meant by using the above quote from fischer is that "unlike other WC from Karpov - Carlsen, these guys have their respective teams compose of elite GMs to help them preparing for WC matches." I personally like Fischer for the reason that he asks helps from no one. If he wins a game, all credit is due to him. Chess is played individually, thus I think, a Grandmaster should only rely on his own intelligence considering that you are per se a GRANDMASTER.
