Geekish, in my words.
What do women think about a chess guy?

You are in charge. You like chess, that's it. We had several similar topics before eg :
- What do normal women think about normal chess guys ?

The list goes on. At the end of the day, it's your life, you're the man, you make the decisions. Over 50% of marriages end in divorce anyway, more than 89.5% of chess players are still playing together.

It depends on the girl, and the guy. Its not whether you play chess, or not.
If that is the only reason someone would like another, then the relationship is shallow, and will never last.

Really? Another one of these threads? Couldn't you just look up the dozens of others and see what everyone answered. Ok, I think chess players are super sexy, especially when they come wearing sweatpants and t-shirts with their favorite band's pictured on the front. It's even better if they bring a bag of chips with them so they can snack while we play.

I agree. There's a You Tube video about a guy who bought a Lamborghini Diablo. My own dream car. He tells how you don't just buy your dream car, you buy your dream. You don't have to drive it. You own it. It's in your garage and you get pleasure from just looking at it. How to finance it and whatever. The questions all the guys asked him, wow, will you get more women ? They have all sadly missed the point - it's not about women, it's about the car. Likewise, it's not about women - it's about chess.

And there's also "Whatt do normal chess players think of normal women?"

I like my chess guy.
His chess friends are pretty interesting to talk to most of the time. None of them fit the smelly, non-social stereotype mentioned earlier in this thread.

As someone noted , there have been a few of these threads. IMHO a man shouldn't be unduely interested in what a woman thinks of him. In fact this "concern" whether it be chess or otherwise would be considered a potential weakness to be exploited via manipulation etc
I think most women regard hobbies that men do as idiosyncratic and to be tolerated as long as the hobbies don't interfer with effort involving wealth/money accumulation.
attractive or disgusting?
