it's not a movie, it's a tv series
What do you think of the Queens Gambit (Movie)

It is a TV series not a movie but I like it
only problem, it contains a lot of innapropriate stuff
No wonder it is rated TV-MA

You mean the netflix thing ?
Haven't seen it yet, given them a rest till they come up with a lot more new stuff
I hope every game doesn't end in "checkmate" that's so pathetic
And don't forget, the person getting checkmated never sees it coming!

The Queen's Gambit series on Netflix is easily the best portrayal of chess tournaments that I have seen. Parts are unrealistic or exaggerated. The non-chess story lines surrounding Beth Harmon are profound.
However, the series totally deserves its Mature rating for extensive profanity, adult situations and substance abuse.

I agree with this.
In terms of what Queens Gambit has done for chess, I’m obviously happy that it’s brought a ton of new members, but there’s been a lot more cheating and trolling :/

It was not a movie I mean you could count it as a movie but in reality it is a series idk if it is a movie or series because I watch on netflix and it was series

But no, there are no cheesy James Bond chess games where one player studies the board, then finds a mate and smugly announces checkmate.
Up above !!
