what does GM, FM, and IM stand for? ( make up your own)

How to be FM or CM in LiveChess?
Have a real life chess title, either CM, FM, IM or GM.

What do u mean, secretofMana?
If you see people with CM, FM, IM or GM before their username, it means that they have a real life chess title, Candidate Master, FIDE Master, International Master or Grandmaster respectively.
For example. If Garry Kasparov would create an account on this site, and proves that he is indeed Garry Kasparov, the title GM would be assigned to him by the chess.com staff.

CM = Conteniental Master
NM = National Master
FM = Famous Master
IM = Intern Master
GM = Gentle Master

IM = Immature Moves
GM = Good Moves.

I actually think that firebrandx has provided the strongest argument ever on any forum I have read, to close this topic. His proposals are soo funny and brillinant, I just want to come back to this thread periodically to get a laugh by reading his post and not having to wade through the LPs
Lame Proposals
that others make.
I will reprint firebrandx's stuff here, so that they are most readily accesible!
