When i report someone, i see an option called "trolling". What does it mean? Like if you play Bongcloud is that trolling?
It is included with verbal abuse and cursing. Some people call anyone who disagrees with them a troll. I think that is not right. Anyone can have legitimate disagreements. In abusive trolling, there has to be an element going well beyond a reasonable disagreement, something calculated to provoke anger, fear or intimidation.
Playing the Bongcloud would not be trolling.
Asking if playing the Bongcloud is trolling
Is trolling.
But I don't think it rises to the level to be called abuse.
there is sexual harassment but not that
use racism
Sorry, are you telling the person who was complaining about repeatedly being asked to be a club admin, that they should report such things as racism?
That is not right.
If that was a joke, it was not funny.
then use violence
Well fine. If you just want to be a troll, I shall treat you as such.
but there is no harassment so what should i choose?
A nice bowl of mushy peas !
Much better for you
“Hi StormCentre3!
What a long and crazy year for chess!
We’ve grown to over 75 million members on Chess.com, reached a record number of games played per day, and ended the year with an exciting FIDE World Championship match.”
Trolling by Chess.Com is clearly evident in these messages by staff- some of which are outright lies !
Maybe this will help you understand trolling chess.com/news/how-to-troll-ur-orphan-friend
Trolling is posting provocative comments to anger and frustrate other commenters because the poster is being a jerk for their own amusement.
There is a member who always wants SA or Admin in clubs is it trolling?
No. It's not trolling.
If you have turned someone down and they keep asking after you have asked them to stop, you can just block them or remove them from the club.
The reports are supposed to be for reporting abuse, not any minor annoyance.
I don't know the particular circumstances of what you are talking about. I guess you have to be the judge of whether or not you think their behavior would justify potentially having them banned from the site.

Hmm. I guess that is supposed to be an example of a joke troll. I don't know how you can argue with any of the statements I see in that quote.
