What happened to r/chess and r/chessbeginners?

I was in reddit and when i tried to visit the r/chess community, it does not let me access because it says that r/chess is a private community. The same happened to r/chessbeginners and even r/anarchychess got private too. Does anyone have info about this, what happened?
