What happens in the Legend League?

The only real point to the Players League is that it gives everyone a chance to come out on top, regardless of rating. But when you get to the Legend League, it becomes about tournaments, and that goes back to how good a player you are, not how prolific. So it defeats its own purpose.

I'll tell you. I was grinding forever to get up there, and making sure to get straight #1s, which I almost did. Just to get a screenshot to post. When I posted it, a mod shoved his head in to question whether it was just photoshopped. Because I'd done such a good job. That's how you generate loyalty.

The prize events in the club are arena and low rated players can still come out on top of those.

From what I've heard @Jospem or some other titled player always wins the monthly prize arena. There's no chance is you're under 2000.

No need to speculate, you can just look at the results

Well that first link leads to results that show the first and second place held by GMs. Third place is ~Elo 1500 and fourth is ~Elo 1200. (I know it's not really Elo.) I'm more around 600.

Point is, you can be a 100 rated player and win the Legend League. It just depends on how many games you play. It's never about anything else. As long as you win, you get points. Otherwise, tournaments are just tournaments. They're the same at any level, i.e. unwinnable for low-rated players. It doesn't matter if you mostly get paired up with players roughly the same rating. It's never as advantageous as just playing regular games and getting paired up much more closely.

In Arenas, players are paired closer to their own level, though with lower turnouts, that may not always be the case. In other site arenas, low rated players finish at the top the events all the time.

When you get to Legend, it still has divisions but they don't have any impact at that point

Hey guys, I just got into legend league about an hour ago and just to clarify, winning legend league doesn't get you anything right? Only finishing top 3 in the Legends Arena gets you cash prizes. But apart from the Legends Arena you can't win any other prizes anywhere else right? Just asking so that I know whether or not I should grind to get first place in my Legend League this week.
Thank you.

Getting into legend get access to the club and the club's monthly prize arena.

Placement in any division doesn't get anything.

Thank you very much Martin, so basically I don't even need to play anymore, I only need to play once a month in the Legends Arena. Does the Legends Club offer anything else other than the monthly prize arena?
