What i dream of

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share something i always dreamt off,

It's about chess..

I dream of a chess world that money isn't an award for good play, a world that playing chess is only done for the fun that come out of it, no ratings no titles nothing, playing everyone with the same heart making every single move like it's your last for the thrill that comes out of it, trainers and super strong players helping out everyone no questions asked with the best they can, just for the joy of it..

But too bad, people chose and still choose to live in the real world, but i don't and one day i'll leave it all behind.

Plus you can add that john lenon line that we all know.

Sidenote: To all the "realists" peeps in here, spare your comments

And excuse my weak grammar, english is my 3rd language.

Thanks for reading..

I see no one got anything to share on this topic?

I understand your sentiment, since I only play for the fun of the game.  However, I think ratings are important since it's better to be paired with a player on your own level of play than to constantly be beaten by someone vastly better than you.  Plus it also gives you a gauge of how well you improve.

The less competitive it would be, the more fun it would be======= THE LESS CHEATING THERE WILL BE

Plus we will lose all the fakers who only play to please others or their egos

As long as there are winners and losers, it will always be competitive and invite cheating, and there will always be those who play to please their own egos, if nothing more than to say "I'm better at chess than you are."

That is my exact point at the first post, playing only for fun, for the reasons to find the best conbination possible, to do your best even when you are knowing that you have no money prize waiting for you

On another point, i think competitive behavoir kills everything

But even without prize money waiting for the winner, people will still play competitively if for nothing more than bragging rights, or at least just to win the game.
