Ok, so this variant was created by Fischer, some random dude from the US, basically each player gets 960 moves and after each move you can slap the opponent in the face, whomever gets knocked out first or checkmates wins. I used to place it a lot and probably got some brain damage, hence this stupid reply. Have a good day!

It's essentially like standard Chess but the starting positions are randomized under specific rules. It helps minimize the role of opening preparation as you won't know in advance the opening setup you'll be playing and there will be limited previous games starting from that same position for reference
