My brother and I thought we had solved chess when we learned the scholars mate and diagonal benefits of opening with the e pawn, I believe to e3. We had not even considered checkmate with the help of a king. Only 2 queens.
What is Consider a Good Chess Rating on this Site?

I'd say anyone over 1000 is "good" compared to most humans, and anyone over 2000 is "good" to most chess players. Any higher than that and you probably only think you're "bad" because you're already in an elite circle

We're all bad at the game (says the 2250 player) but some of us are worse than others.

If you want to get paid to go to chess tournaments and have a chance of winning huge prizes, 2700.
If you just want to enter for free, 2400+.
If you want to a coach, getting titled helps a lot, but 2000 is enough. Below that and people will accept your advice but not pay much. Book writing needs a title of some kind, or chess expert who programs engines.
At 1700, you will be the top of most clubs.
At 1400, you'll demolish people who don't read books, and even several who do.
At 1000, you can be dangerous to anyone in a fast enough simultaneous exhibit.
This is a good way to look at it, IMO.

But that's not exactly a huge achievement, let's be honest. I'm in the top 10% for rapid and I'm only at 1300
I'm in the top 5 percentiles and I'm only 1440 rapid...

Good is always relative. If you are rated 400 on this site, 700 is pretty good. If you are rated 700, 1000 is pretty good. If you are rated 1000, 1400 is pretty good, and so on. With me being in the 1700-1800s range, a player rated 2000 is really good. To a super grand rated above 2700, everyone who is not a super-grand master is hot garbage.
What is consider a good rating on the site. Well, I think if you are rated above 1800 then you are a good chess player. If you are rated 1500-1799 then you are average. What do you think?
I would say if you are above 2200 on this site you are good at chess.
If you are below 800 you are a total beginner.
800-1299 advanced beginner
1300-1499 low intermediate player
1500-1699 intermediate player
1700-1999 high intermediate player
2000-2199 in between intermediate player and advanced player
2200+ good player/advanced player
Although this is all relative, as someone as strong as Hikaru Nakamura would probably laugh at the notion that 2200 rated players are good or advanced as he reached 2500 in his Botez gambit speedrun. So, just keep in mind that at the end of the day, this is all relative.
Yesterday I played against a 2100 rated player who allowed a basic tactic which won me a pawn. In fact, he missed this tactic twice, because first time I could have played it I didn't spot it, but he allowed it on the next move again and then I finally spotted it. I am rated 1900 myself and that was a 15+10 game. We both had above 10 minutes on the clock.
On another occasion I beated a 2000 blitz rated player who blundered a piece due to a 3 move tactic.
So, wherever the dividing line is, the line above which players are good, the line has to be at least 2200. It may even be a couple of hundreds of points higher than that.

I am 1900 rapid, 1800 blitz and I am no good. How do I stay at this rating? Because my opponents aren't good either. I would say any rating below 2200 isn't good but I am not sure at which point you can say that you have a good rating on this site.

Ratings are not important play to enjoy your games, whatever rating you are you can work to improve if you want to by doing lessons etc, if your not going to do that then be happy where you got to 😁
OK I quit
