What is the ABOSOLUTE automate variant setup?

chess.com got an update a while ago where they added chess variants: fog of war, sideways pawns, horde, torpedo, etc. But automate seems to be an independent mode since it appears with your piece style (something not posible in like fog of war for example). So in automate you have 35 points to build up your army so the computer stockfish depth 18 plays it. so What is the best setup?? I like automate too, your position is very defensive but Im sure would do well. Personally I find using lots of knights in between pawns in a zig zag effective

yeah becuase in automate you can't put SO MANY pieces

Also  remember the ideal position depends on what your opponent does with their setup

but... you cannot put your pieces on 3rd rank. Only pawns can be placed there

There is trick to make great position you only have 35 point for each player. So place 8 pawns and 2 rook 4 Bishop 1 Queen make match is 35

Queen=7

Rook=4

Bishop=3

Knight=3

Pawn=1

King=0

see this  4+4+7+8+3+3+3+3 = 35 here setup 2Rook 1Queen 4Bishop and 8pawn

4+7+8+3+3+3+3+3+1=35 1Rook 1Queen 8Pawns 5 Knight or 5Bishop and extra pawn to make 35 use this simple math and make great chess.

oh thanks! very good idea. But maybe I would say 4 knights are better because when working together they are very powerful but 4 bishops is also fine
