What is the chess rating of Chess titans level 10

I lowered the playing level for Computer down to Level 5 and Level 4 while matched against Chess Titans level 10, and about as I predicted Chess Titans won every game at both those levels. Computer seemed to take an unusually large drop in playing strength between Level 6 and Level 5: its quality of play looked quite weak to me at those levels, although admittedly Chess Titans made a lot of weak moves, too, and in fact missed a couple faster mates that Computer had announced (unknown to Chess Titans), which resulted in Computer having to later announce another mate-in-x. The endgame play for both sides was expectedly particularly bad for both programs.
I'll probably reduce the levels to 3, 2, and 1, though probably tomorrow. This investigation takes up a lot of time, but it's fascinating to me to see the really clever tactical moves that programs sometimes make, moves I wouldn't have thought to consider. The lengths of a couple of today's games were in the 60s and 70s but at the lower levels of Computer, Chess Titans should win much more quickly.

It does the same thing when there is only one legal move.

For completeness here are the last six games of this investigation that I'll post, where Computer was set at Level 3, 2, and 1, Chess Titans on level 10, two games per level, one game per color. Of course Chess Titans wiped out Computer, which was playing some ridiculous moves at those bottom levels.
One odd thing I discovered is that Computer is not detecting the fastest mates. For example, it might announce mate in 4, then on the next move might announce mate in 1 when Chess Titans finds a faster mate. This is really surprising since I thought Computer was doing a complete search of a winning line, but that could not be true. Apparently there's either a bug in the program, or else "mate in 4" is intended to mean "mate in no more than 4."
1200 at defending
1800 in tactics
in a 10 min game he would max get rating of 1500-1600
Yeah. It seems to spot all short combinations against the player (the few times I played it), but if I had an attack, a positional plus, (or any endgame) it just shuffled around until I won.
I'm about a 1600 player. I can usually beat the computer at "Hard" level at Chess.com at 30 minute or 15/10 games, which is rated in the high 1500s or low 1600s.
My win rate at Level 9 of Chess Titans is about 40% - it beats me more than I beat it.
My guess is that Level 9 plays at about a 1700, Level 10 higher than that (1750-1800).
The trick with either of these programs - especially Titans - is to not make stupid moves and hang around until the end. Even at Hard, chess.com's computer can overlook simple opposition tactics. If you fall behind with Titans at a higher level, I find the best bet is usually to try for a draw. With Chess.com at Hard you still have a chance.

I have played once against chess Titans level 3 years ago but I have defeated chess Titans easily with enough knowledge this is good to beginners but a strong tournament player I suggests play magnus app

Anyone still playing Chess Titans in 2025 ?
I don't know if it's possible without a really old computer using really old Microsoft software. The one I had that had Chess Titans on it is kind of broken down and in the attic.

It is possible! You can download it to your new Windows PC for free. I have it running on my Windows 10.
Edit: After checking Microsoft Store, I see that it is no longer listed for downloads... They had them in 2024... There are third-party websites that offer Chess Titans for download, but I'm not sure how reliable they are, might have virus.
I pushed the level down some more, and Chess Titans finally won one game at Computer's Level 6, and I believe had a winning position in one game at Computer's Level 7, though ultimately it lost. Considering that Chess Titans takes about 30 seconds per move at level 10, and Computer takes only about 1-2 seconds at Level 10, Computer is clearly more efficient. I've never understood why Chess Titans takes the full 30 seconds or so even when it's still in book, or when it has only a single legal move to choose from.
