score = points ahead. White to move. Lets say it say 0.68 that means you are 68/100 of a pawn ahead. THis however is an estimation and can change fast.
What is the computer analysis score?
Hey is there any software(preferably a free one, but paid is okay) which i can use to analyze my games with scores using .PGN files?

arena chess gui (just google for it).
then download either stockfish or houdini chess engine and you are set.
chessmaster - download pgn file run chessmaster load the pgn and right click analyz --chessmaster will analyz the game for u
with better descriptions and blunder alerts ( saying x move was better or y move vas slightly better and gives the natural moves to keep the game play)
solves for mate
can change the personality of each chess-comp player
mentor lines which is good ( not realy good but gives you some idea )
all the games played international (even the ibm vs kasparov-- )
and a lot ..................
Stockfish analysis chess engine is free online at chesseng.heroku.com

I have a couple of questions about how the score is calculated after each move when playing typical games against the chess pc here at chess.com (forgive me if these have been answered and discussed elsewhere on the board)..
1) is the strength of analysis dependent upon the difficulty level im playing..
for example , I get a more accurate move by move score on level 6 than level 4 ?
2) if this is a a consistent strength of score analysis on any difficulty level, about how strong an analysis is it in terms of an elo rating for example ?
I have noticed it does seem to calculate these turn by turn scores rather quickly, which kinda leads me to believe its strength is not terribly high.., no matter what level i am playing.. So i suppose I am asking how much faith should i place in this move to move score ?
I just received my first computer analysis today. It was very helpful, however I'd just like to confirm what the score it gives means?
