I think showing that would be a good test of whether or not you can enter a 9,000 move game in a chess.com diagram!

Ben_Dubuque

95 moves of pure torture where the guy decided he was going to show off and promoted 4 pawns, all to knights I captured one and was checkmated in a NNNK v. K with no pawns

dannyhume

My game with the 100-kg pieces took longer than my several-hundred move game even though I only made 7 moves.

zman1234

it was a 9000 move draw by repetition for 8214 moves! XD

Ben_Dubuque

that is still what 786 moves

Osqueto

I played a correspondence game via snail mail back in the 80's that I went 74 moves and took 2 and a half years.  I lost.  :(

chessdude46

Around 102 moves, ending in a draw.

erikido23

91 is the longest cc game here I have played (I lost).  A funny pattern I noticed-losing almost all my games which last over 70 moves

frrixz

9000 moves is impossible thanks to the 50 move rule.

I think mine is 90 moves.

frrixz

A touch nut never resigns.

Plz excuse our heinous blunders on moves 61-62.

I'm sure some people here have played longer games than I have in terms of moves, but I once played a game where each player could have taken as long as 20 minutes per move.

Ever heard of correspondence chess?

Azukikuru

I have one that went on for 74 moves. We were hopping around with kings and knights with no captures for the last 15 moves, and my opponent was screaming for a draw, until I finally found a way to march my pawn through and win the game.

A friend and I have been planning to do the exact same thing (if we play, I plan to win).

JMB2010

96 moves. I played just terribly in the beginning, lost a piece, then somehow won BACK the piece and got a draw in an opposite-colored-bishops ending.

VolleyCheck

Over 100 moves, 6 1/2 hours, back in 1985 at the world open.  He had me clamped down in the opening, but little by little he released me and I won.  Laughing

CerebralAssassin
