No, it's NOT because you are 'stupid'. You're not stupid. The reason that chess is so difficult is because of the possibilities to move. There are thousands of possibilities, and it is impossible to discover ever single one of them. Every player is different. Everyone finds chess difficult in one way or another, and I can guarantee you that this is the sole reason.
What is the main reason that chess is so difficult?

You are playing way too fast. I checked some of your recent games, and you played through the opening with spending less than a minute on your clock. You hardly ever spent more than 20 seconds on a move and so on. In many of the games that you lost you had a winning position at least at some point, but then you made a simple mistake that cost you the game. It's a good thing, that you play 30 minute games, but it's a bad thing that you hardly ever seem to use more than 5 minutes of those 30 minutes.
You'll go up 300 points, if you practice some patience on your play. I don't know what would do the trick.. Maybe sit on your hands while you play? That way you can't make the first move that looks fine, before at least checking if it blunders a piece.. :-)
So in a sense you are right, lack of concentration and observation (and patience!!!) are your main issues. Not stupidity, if that even exists.

And btw, u don't look the brightest, but u don't look stupid, like u say.
Practice self-compassion. I do it daily .

I think the board has too many squares on it. I don't know whose idea it was to add so many squares.

Why d'ya say that?

It's just so many squares. I don't think anyone asked for so many squares. Like, I even counted them all on my fingers, but by the time I ran out of fingers there were still so many.

I like to say chess is hard not because it's hard to find a good move. In most positions the best move looks good. It's hard because lots of bad moves look good too, and they distract us.

Another reason it's hard is because 49 good moves can be undone by 1 bad move. Chess is very unforgiving of mistakes. To be a strong player you have to have a high level of consistency.

I don't really understand why you say that, because then it would be harder/easier to checkmate the king, but ok then.
Is it it for me because I'm stupid? Lack of consentration and observation? Too many possibilites to move?
