What is the quickest way to raise your daily rating by 1000 points?
cheat
Cheating is disgraceful to chess in my opinion. Also if I cheat I will get banned. I am looking for the quickest way to get to 1600 WITHOUT cheating.
Hi guys, I’m going to start out with 100 daily games (give or take a few), and try to maintain that number until I reach, say, 1400. I am going to try to get back to 1600 by September. This is probably unlikely though, so I will be satisfied if I am at 1600 by 2021! In the meantime, I will use this forum to record my ratings, track milestones, post daily games, and have fun!
Also, feel free to challenge me to a daily game! (Rated or unrated, doesn’t matter)
Bye! Time to start 100 daily games!
if u wait a while before playing ur games, ur glicko RD will go up meaning you get more points from a win vs. a high rated player

Your Glicko RD is so low (34), that it's going to take you forever to get your points back. I don't mean to be discouraging; just be prepared for a long road back. Sollieman83 wasn't wrong in suggesting some time off to get your RD a little higher. Good luck!

What's a Glicko RD
#3 was the first thing that came to my mind as well. 1000 points, quickly? Well we go back to #3 again!
You are not understanding me. I would never cheat in chess. 600 is an inaccurate rating due to timing out in daily games. 1600 is my current USCF rating. I think I can get my daily rating to 1600 eventually. I am just trying to get it up as fast as possible.

I was going to ask the same question.
Rushing in chess is definitely not beneficial. However if your ONLY goal is the rating, then ya... play as many games as you can handle against weak opponents using 1/day move times Once you get closer to your actual skill level, you will need to slow down of course and take on less games!

If USCF is 1600, then 1600 in daily on chess.com should be easy for you. I'm in 1500's here but in the CFC (Canada) I'm only 1000! Lol
And ya, obviously don't cheat. Should get a ban just for suggesting that to people hah

100 games is quite a lot, be careful not to take on more than you can manage and try if possible to only play opponents rated higher than you. I find if I have too many games going (like now) I get lazy and careless every so often and a single loss vs a 1500 player for example loses all the rating points gained for 6 wins vs 1600s.

Chess.com uses the Glicko rating system, and part of this system is a number called a ‘rating deviation’ or RD, which measures how sure we are of what your rating is. The lower the number, the more sure we are of what your rating is. You can see this number on your stats page for each game type.

if the NM Smarterchess thing was extremely accurate, my daily would be 2000+ since by blitz is 2002.
Yet I am 1611 uscf, go figure

Thanks baddogno, makes sense. They can very pretty sure of someone's rating who has played 1000 games recently. But if you've played 2 games, they have no idea!
Ya snudoo, different skills are needed for different types of chess I'd say. Some may excel at 5x 90/30 games over the course of 2 days... and like me, some can't focus that long! Lol
Hi, this is NOT a joke thread. I am being completely serious.
As you can see, I have a daily rating of 650. I am not a beginner. My blitz rating is 1400 and my rapid is 1500. I have been able to maintain a daily rating of 1500 in the past while moving pretty much instantly. And yes, this did cause me to blunder a lot.
Then I got really lazy and forgot to move in my daily games. I used up all of my vacation time and I dropped to 1200, then 1000, then 800, and then finally I was like "forget it!"
Also, I have a USCF rating of 1600, and my skill is probably higher due to quarantine. But I move pretty slowly OTB (and in serious online tournaments) and I don't have the patience to spend 30 minutes a move in daily games, unless I only have, say, 10 games going on at once.

According to this site, my daily rating should be about 1700. (I realize this is really outdated, but I think it looks pretty accurate).
Also my account is not new. I have possibly timed out in over 500 daily games. If I won against a 1600 right now, I would only gain 14 rating points. So I guess my only solution is to play over 100 daily games at once.
So my question is, what would be the most efficient way to do this? I mean, I am fine taking a few losses because it won't affect my rating too much. Especially since I have played a lot of games.
Thanks for reading and taking the time! I appreciate it!
