when i analyse my games i've seen the miss feature that has replaced the missed win, but they dont point out the misses and have me retry  it but instead just show them. are these as bad as missed wins?

This is from when it was released in the beta:

  • New Miss Classification - Sometimes a move is bad not because something went horribly wrong with your own position, but because you failed to punish your opponent’s bad move. For example: you’re in an even game, your opponent gives you the opportunity to fork and win a piece, but you just make a normal continuing move as if nothing happened. These cases will be covered by a new classification called Miss, which will be denoted with a Ø glyph.

Plus, you should be able to Retry any move if you have Show Best Moves turned off.

Wait, so shouldn’t be the new “Miss” feature be replaced with the Missed Wins that show up when the game ends?

They seem to be more common than the missed wins were

Missed wins were replaced by misses, so of course misses are more common.

Miss Wins aren't a classification anymore.
