Alright, everyone.
I asked the question. It might seem old, or you might be having deja vu about some other post, but I just had to ask.
What is YOUR favorite chess piece?
Mine, personally is the bishop, because it can strike from across the board, slide through holes in the line that some people don't see, and I (at least) don't notice it half the time lol.
Now, make sure to explain why you like what you like, and also include your least favorite (because everyone has one). I hate the knight. Thanks for adding in your two cents and have a great day!
Aside from the Queen, I mean the most powerful piece on the board and a league of her own, the Knight has always been a favourite piece of mine. This was certainly true when starting out and playing other beginners. It is the piece that can jump other pieces, friend or foe, and the only piece that does not move in a straight line. My Knights have done considerable damage to unwary opponents, including nasty forks and debilitating smothered mates.
The knight - what's not to like? Sneaky, cruel, devastating!
I don't really have a piece I don't like. Rooks can be slow to develop; however, they can castle and once the board is thinned out they can be a terror . . . So, if I had to pick a piece, it might be the Rook, maybe.
