In normal chess the best piece is the queen. But don't bring the queen out too early. Use pawns and knights to start early attacks, and then rooks and the queen come out later for mopping up and checkmate.
Once you have mastered classical chess, then you can move up to more advanced forms of chess. One good example is Chess on an Infinite Plane. The best piece there is the chancellor. It moves as knight+rook combined.
You'll get the hang of it soon! Good luck!
To win a game, I need to know the best pieces to attack and defend with. This will allow me to be able to get better in chess. Knowing what pieces to use for WHAT means I can attack more often. Listing you favourite pieces and WHY would help me immensely!
It would help if you name an ALL-ROUNDER that is good for attack and defence.
THANKS!
