Yes, a drubbing was originally a literal beating but it came to be used more metaphorically.
So uh i was playing a blitz game and the chess.com rating estimator said that i drubbed my opponent in the endgame and when i searched up what does the word drub mean it just means hit repeatedly so could someone please explain to me what drub means in chess terms.
