are we talking about an on going game or are we talking theoretically ?
we are not allowed to help in on going games.

ok in that case I would think this way, we are still in the opening and we both need to castle. my opponent can't stop me from castling but I can stop him from castling.
after Ba3 I have stopped my opponent from castling. and I can castle next move.
It looks like the opening is over, to me. It looks like castling is not required. I would play 1. Bf4 Nd5 2. Kd2. I wouldn't mind if the black knight takes my bishop, because there is a better chance to avoid an opposite-coloured bishop draw if I have my knight against black's bishop.:)
What points should i keep in mind while I am upto this point of game? Actually,it was a game played by me today which ended up in a draw. And my move was Bf4.While playing i was confused
what to move,i took my bishop to bf4 for putting pressure on c7 pawn.
The c7-pawn is a permanent weakness. I would be more inclined to play 1.Kf2. The c7-weakness is a long-term weakness, not short term. No need to rush this. The Rooks either want to go to b1 and e1 or e1 and f1. The Bishop could go to f4, but might have better scope on a3, and from a3, it prevents a Rb2 intrusion. The Knight covers c3, so no need to sorry about the check on e4 just yet. Something like 1.Kf2 Ne4+ 2.Kf3 is fine for White.
The way to look at this is "I don't know if I want the rooks on e1 and f1 or e1 and b1, and not sure if I want the Bishop on a3 or f4, but I surely don't want my King on e1, and Ke1-f2-g2 is where I want to go if I want the rooks on e1 and f1, and Ke1-f2-f3 is where I want to go if the rooks go to b1 and e1.
Since move order is not critical here in the sense of tactical threats, I'm going to make the move that fits in with all plans, not just one plan. All of these plans involve moving the King to f2, and Black has no current threats, so 1.Kf2 seems to be the best move, waiting a move to see where the Bishop wants to go, and yet being a move closer to connecting rooks, and having the King centralized for the endgame.
I'd play Ba3 too. The black king looks precarious in the center and my other pieces are coming out really fast.
In my opinion a few things must be noted before formulating any plan. 1-White is one pawn down. 2-Black's bishop is better than white. 3- White has weak white squares which can be used by black. 4- Black's Q-side pawns are isolated.
Stopping castling by black can delay any possible invasion by black rooks. Still white will face some problem getting draw as opposite color bishops going to favour black to some extent and surely not indicating draw as yet.
What should be the strategy in this position?
