Hi, I would like to know ways to capture the queen in early games as it is the most powerful and targeted piece.

Thanks!

Step 1: Knock down your King and say 'I forfeit your highness!"

Step 2: Profit

You must lure the queen out to where she is vulnerable by expressing musk from your anal glands onto her food bowl.

unless her majesty comes out early it likely won't happen unless it's some sort of royal fork or weird smother. and even if she comes out early trying to trap isnt always best. Getting opponent to waste time moving her around is still good though.

Ummm... Ok oregonpatzer... very intersting

Scandinavian defense. Your opponent plays a silly queen move and the queen gets pinned to the king.

just don't bring your queen out

In the movie "Searching for Bobby Fischer", Bruce Pandplfini chides Josh Watzking for playing too fast and bringing his queen.

-Which is fine for playing bullet chess with Washington Park chess hustlers, but ill advised for serious chess, especially if your training for the national championships.

1) Look for absolute pins (they happen, especially if the opponent castles in the opposite side)

2) You can probably trap her, if she captures one of your Knight pawns (but make sure you can trap her before you let her capture it).

Strangemover

Rather than trapping the queen, which is very unusual, it is more a case of attacking it whilst at the same time developing your pieces or gaining space by advancing pawns. Your advantage is not in winning the queen but by gaining a lead in development which can help you make threats which your opponent is not in time to parry.

@Strangemover thanks

What would you think about this game?

(BTW A lot of people in my primary school like to get their rook out early game lol)

+1

If both players play sensibly, then the Queen shouldn't be in any danger of being lost so early on in the game. However, the more romantic-style chess answer would be to learn many opening traps where the opponent losing the Queen is common (if they fall into the trap). However, I prefer to play solidly and assume that my opponent won't fall for any cheap tricks and that they will find the best moves.

A "queen motif" is well worth being open to. Sometimes a player may be so intent on attacking the king this possibility is overlooked.
