Now that it’s official and chess.com has acquired play Magnus group, what’s going to happen to those accounts? Are they going to be separate? I paid for that because i frankly like the learning there way better than this site and I enjoy playing there more than here. Or…well….anywhere really. For those that have had restricted IPs will that effect their accounts there too? This is a severely damaging acquisition in my opinion.

It looks like playmagnus.com was pretty expensive. $170 per year, with only one tier of membership.
I hope that Chess.com will take the best of what Play Magnus has to offer and incorporate it here.

This account yes. I’ve been around for a decade in and off. this is a pretty terrible acquisition and borders on monopoly. But chess com has never been one to be fair.

I have the same question. But i just would love when my account from chess24 would be transferred or converted to chess.com
