I also wonder. As a player, Kasprov is obviously better ( records speak for it). Both have been fierce competitors and Kasprov edged out Anand.
Kasprov is a more dynamic personality, ambitious and involved in politics. Anand is like a simple person, home maker (sort of). Clash of personalities.
