whats the diference?

I think the unwritten definition for positional play at chess.com is any series of moves that improves one's position. Tactical play, I presume, is a subset of positional play and involves concrete material gain or checkmate. However, the two often overlap and the definitions I just gave are speculation.

So I keep hearing closed tactical play and positional play....whatst the diference?
