When people get upset that you won't rematch them.

This is exactly how it sounds. Why do people feel entitled to a rematch and/or call you a coward if you don't want one?

People get like that when they don't eat enough vegetables.

I know right? Why can't people play chess in peace and respect others? It's a shame. I received numerous racist slurs, death threats, insults, name calling, and harassment just because I won't cuddle my opponents into giving them a rematch. It's sad how people have to resort to online chess to make themselves feel better. No wonder why my chat and notes are disabled.......

And sometimes even if I beat someone 2 times in a row, they still want a rematch and call me a runner! Ugh.....

This happened to me once and I just laughed my ass off. I beat someone 4 games in a row, and they wanted another rematch. When I hit decline they started calling me a coward. So I said fine, and rematched them. They all of a sudden played brilliantly and didn't make any mistakes, I got utterly crushed. Fast forward a few days later and I got a message saying how they caught someone cheating and that I was returned my rating points. I just laughed even more and knew exactly who it was that cheated. (Btw i'm extremely low rated. It's very apparent when people decide to cheat within my rating range, and believe it or not, it actually happens on occasion even at the very low rating range).

Yeah, that's called engine cheat revenge rematch. It happened to me numerous of times, luckily OTB blitz only guarantees you one rematch with NO engine and I'm glad bullet isn't real chess at all.......not too obsessed with any forms of ratings. Wow funny story that I can understand......XD

i myself accept rematches just so that my opponent wont say anything bad about me. even though with just one 30-min play im already tired ( i tire easily and sometimes get headaches when i think so much) But really, anyone can decline this and people should understand that there might be a reason for the other player not to. We just need to be respectful and polite.

I had some experience with this type of behavior. He even accuses me of cheating just because i declined his rematch offer. I dunno why

At this point I usually decline rematch just to see the hatemail come in and consequently report frustrated rematchers. I think, in that way, I'm improving the general experience of my fellow chess.com users. You're welcome:p

I come across people who don't just feel they are entitled to a rematch but also hypocrite. They will keep keep requesting a rematch continuosly....keep doing it until they win atleast once and then once they win they write abuses.
