The Chess & Checkers House is one of Central Park's five visitor centers. It's true that you can play chess and checkers in almost any New York City park, however it's only at the Chess & Checkers House that can you borrow pieces for your game. Dominoes and backgammon are also available

Bryant Park Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas and between 40th and 42nd Streets in Midtown Manhattan.

Chess is located on the south side of the park across from Le Carousel.

They have Movie nights next one: 8/1/22 at 8:00 PM Star Trek: First Contact
