which is the strongest piece?

This is kinda a silly question. The strongest piece depends on the position.
yes

King is the most important piece but it's not the strongest, Queen would be the strongest because it can move as many spaces as it wants in any direction, it just can't just over pieces which would be cool if it could.

The strongest piece must really be the amazon. It is even stronger than a queen.
lol

No, the strongest piece is my hand. I control the pieces.

*gasp* They beat us all

Most people would say the Queen is the strongest piece, but in reality: The Pawn.
The pawn is the piece that doesn't go back, and it's only worth one point, but it has a tricky move not a lot people know called "En Passant", and as most people who play chess know, the pawn can turn into ANY PIECE it chooses to be, but not the king. The best options i would shorten to is the Knight and the Queen, the Bishop and the Rook are basically a Queen together, so there's basically no reason to choose the Bishop or the Rook. The Knight is still a great piece which can help in tricky situations, even if that rarely happens, and the Queen? Come on, isn't that obvious? So, even if Pawns are worth one point, I'd say that it is the most used, the strongest, and the best piece on the board of Chess.
Generically speaking, the queen is probably the most powerful since it can attack the most squares and thus valued higher. But like many have mentioned, it will depend on the position, as a bishop in a certain game can be more powerful than a queen, since a queen, though it can control more squares, is useless when it is blocked up or inactive.
