When you make a move - on the right there is a line drawn at different lengths. Think I know what this means but not sure. could someone please let me know.

Are you talking about the little bars that represent the relative amounts of time each player took for their moves?

Not sure I explained correctly/ The computer records your move and the time it takes to make that move and it also shows a line, black and white, depending the colour you are playing with. The line is VARYING LENGTHS. What do they mean?

sammy_boi - think you answered my query. They indicate the time it takes to make your move also. Correct?

sammy_boi

Yeah, the length is relative to the time.

So if white uses 1 minute and black uses 2 minutes, then the black line will be twice as long.

If later in the game someone uses 5 minutes for the first time, then the lines for moves made in under a minute will suddenly be much shorter than they were before.

sammy_bol - thanks for answering my question. I have had 2 questions and you have answered them both. Thank you; I appreciate that. You seem to be my "well" of knowledge. Understanding all the symbols and indicators is important to me. Thanks again.

Does the white line on the side indicate who is winning when you're watching a match?
