Sure, both Nepo and Giri can beat Carlsen with a little bit of luck. The strongest player does not always win, even in a long match (Euwe vs Alekhine, Kramnik vs Kasparov).

nepo might have good winning chances against carlsen. Giri, on the other hand might need a little more preperation if he and carlsen competed for the world championship.
