Its a shame that this vvideo has no subtitles. Interesting talk about chess, and for me as a dutchman nice to see everyday life in a time when I didnt live. Nice and funny too :)
Indeed, loved that video.

No way... I am halfway the video and exactly @20:00 they interview Max Euwe in chesscafe "het Hok". And what are the odds, I went to high school about 200m from that cafe. There is a square close to it (max euwesquare) where you can play chess in public on a big board.
I have spend quite some time in that cafe playing cards when I shouldve been in class! Many of us did, the cafe even had a board hanging "Barleus Dependance" ("secondary location" of our school). Never did I know Euwe had played there! If you come there today you will still see people chess (on daytime). At night it turns into a sportscafe with flatscreens on the wall.
the great chess movie features timman beating karpov (in the 80's) .. very interresting movie about when chess and politics mix. also with max eeuwe comments about bobby fisher.
i feel bad for the people who canot follow "de liefde voot het hout"mentioned above... "the love for the wood" ... geweldig!!!

Anyone good with capturing videos? I've captured it but the audioquality is very very bad. If anyone can capture it without (much) loss of audio, then Im willing to translate. Send me a message if yuo are able.
I have already spoken to the uploader (endspiel64) and asked permission to capture and re-upload the video with subs.
