Who is the most active player on Chess.com?

Hello!

I guess this is kind of hard to calculate and compare, but since 1 Mars 2017 I have played:

920 Daily games

1740 Rapid games

1040 Blitz Games.

That is 3700 Games in approximately 14 months/426 days.

Equals about  8,7 games per day.

So. who can beat that?

I've struggled with addiction, so I don't mean this as an insult, but the person with the most games probably has issues like this, and would be a much happier person after an intervention where they took away his/her ability to get online

I average more than 8 a day pretty easily most weeks, so I'm not surprised that's not a record... but some of those guy in the topic @notmtwain linked, just wow.

Then again you can play 20 bullet games in the same time as one rapid game, or 10 bullet games in the time of one blitz game. That being said pokerbloke99 has definitely played more in total, but his account is also over 8 years old. So the amount of games OP has played is very much. It is comparable to playing 50 000 1|0 bullet games in a bit over year. If he keeps up the pace for 7 years, he would've probably spent more time playing than this pokerbloke guy.

Then again I'm not sure if that is exactly a statistic to thrive for. It's not the quantity, but the quality of the games. As you can see, 260 000+ games of bullet and yet his average bullet rating hovers around 1600. Which of course is not a bad rating, but considering the time spent playing, he probably would be much better bullet player had he spent more time playing slower time controls at some point.

I'm actually much more impressed by someone who has played a lot of rapid games.

Yes, Taskinen, the guy who had played 52,000 rapid games had brought his rating all the way to 1059...

Just to go off on a tangent from the OP question, i recently got unflattering comments by one whom i will not name, because i prefer to play 1 game at a time in the 1-day-per-move-daily chess option on this chess. It would seem to me that some people think that playing loads of games at the same time on this site is one sign of being a good chess player, that they give greater kudos to quantity rather than quality of games played. I am of the opinion that who cares how many games you play, irrespective of reults

Well, I don't know about playing games....  But I do know I never leave this site unless I have to, and most of my day is spent on this site either doing lessons, doing puzzles, or playing games against engines.  Maybe people have been here longer, but it's pretty much impossible to be on this site more than I am.  I am a troll, and this is my bridge.

I have played only for a month, 484 games on rapid

Which is 15.61 games a day, almost double your game rate/day

But i doubt ill maintain it for many years like you did or reach your total games
