My personal favorite is Paul Morphy because of his beautiful artistry and imagination happy.png What about you?

That’s a good question. For personality it has to be Magnus but, playing wise maybe Tal, or Fischer. SO hard to chose though as there are so many great players

For playing style? Fischer, Tal, Nezhmetdinov...

My favorite player is Anatoly Karpov. He played "understandable", logical chess. A master of positional chess, but also tactically sharp when he needed to be. It's so beautiful to grow as a chess player myself and discover more and more subtleties in his play, like the "micro-tactics" he used to improve his position and outplay other world-class players.

Favorite player…Nimzowitch, just how he was so far ahead of others when it came to the middle game , etc.

Yes, Nimzo had a phenomenal scientific understanding of the game. Have you ever read any of his book, "My System"?
