Choice? Not even close. Try doing a search. This question has come up many times.
Pokerbloke99 has 279,988 bullet games but Peacemyfriend has 282,399 games.
Peacemyfriend may be running out of steam, however. He hasn't been online in 15 days.

Oh my bad. I dont understand how they play this much. Do they use bots or dedicate their whole life in chess?

You'd be surprised how fast fifty to a hundred games a day can add up.

50 games a day is a lot but Martialartschampion has about 74989 *blitz* games. Takes a lot of time than bullet.

There are lots of people who had played more than 100,000 games of blitz.

The guy who was #2 is up close to 133,000 blitz games. https://www.chess.com/stats/live/blitz/drjbell221b

With so many members, there's going to be a wide variety of people here.
I can imagine a few situations at least where someone plays many hours a day for years.
Not particularly happy situations, but I imagine this site helps them pass the time.

Over on ICC, I think Nakamura chalked up +1million bullet and blitz games. He's scaled that back quite a bit tho.

1 million?
Color me incredulous.
Apparently I was wrong. The official ICC record for most games by a human is 656,349 games played by A66448. Nakamura had numerous anonymous accounts, and spoke of playing 1 million games. That may have been aspirational though.
Btw, the ICC engine, JSBach, has played almost 14 million games.

Maybe you were right then. Maybe he really has played 1 million. If not on ICC then altogether.
That's crazy!

in terms of OTB classical chess then it's viktor korchnoi, with at least 4090 games according to chessgames.com database

@Gingerninja, there was a guy in Texas who played far more than that. I've forgotten his name, but he'd play several thousand OTB games every year.
Among world champions, the player with the FEWEST official games played is Bobby Fischer.

Robert Smeltzer, of Texas, held the record for most USCF (OTB) games played. I don't know who holds it now, he may still have the record. He would play rated games every night when possible, and often play two tournaments in a weekend. He passed away in 2010, but even though he played most of his chess long before the USCF database went on line, he has 8955 games credited to him.

Ah, thanks. I'd forgotten that claim. I think Reinfeld or Chernev mentioned that. Do you remember if it was in The Golden Treasury of Chess?

Well, I just found the quote online (although its source is unattributed):
"I've been playing it for over 50 years, I started it when I was ten, and I am still going strong. In all that time I don't believe a day has gone by that I have not played at least one game of chess — and I still enjoy it as much as ever."
50 years of playing chess indicates that he is a true master. And its my privilege to get a NM in my forum
Can anyone find out? They will get a trophy and get added as friends!
