I’m standing on business. Magnus Carlsen is the best chess player to ever live. No one has ever had a higher rating than him and no one has ever had a more dominant reign.
Magnus crushes Kasparov, Fischer, Tal, Capablanca, and any other player you can think of in a classical series match. Yes even little Hikaru. Who has only beat Magnus once in classical.

Yes. Magnus has done it all. He will go down as the all time GOAT by a large margin. I don't see another Magnus coming for a long long time.

Magnus has the highest ever rating, yes, but that's because of ratings inflation. Fischer's 2790 was much more impressive than Carlsen's 2880.
Kasparov had a much more dominant reign than Magnus, and twice as long. It's not even close.
