why am I able to easily beat 500-1000 bots easily but 400+ elo players are much harder?

I have noticed the bots are much easier than actual players are. Do you believe this is due to bot ratings being an inaccurate representation of human skill, or has the overall skill of chess players increased? seems as if I am  able  to beat bots that are more than twice my rating, I should at least be around 800. any thoughts?

2 options- the bots play differently than humans- or you play differently because you know when you are playing bots or humans. Perhaps a bit of both?

Is it possible to figure out away to play an 'unknown' opponent, and find out after the game is over.

Kind of like zen mode- where the rating is hidden, but with the opponent hidden instead?

Maybe have a relative start a game for you, and get them to put some temporary tape over the opponent name on the screen?

The way bots move are not parallel to what human players would do at that rating level. Bots at that level tend to play decently for a few moves, and out of nowhere, a random blunder appears. They are often unable to "think" in the context of human play.

You could be playing online and have another screen running a smart bot, I would guess

Yes, I have 1000+ elo, and I'm able to beat 1700s bots

And each of my friends has 450 elo, and able to beat all the 1400s bots.

Computer bots are incredibly terrible at simulating human play. This is for the best, as if computers could perfectly simulate human play, they would essentially pass a version of the chess turing test.

They play either extremely well or extremely terrible, allowing for lower rated players to easily take advantage and win.

computers are normally programmed to self-destruct at a certain point in the game, essentially granting victory.

In that case, I seem to also be a computer.

Like if bots aren't cheating, all of their moves are taken from stockfish. At least humans aren't cheating for every move, maybe just 61% of the match.

Probably for the same reason the analysis calls my tactics a blunder, there are concepts it just doesn't understand but a player might use these against you unpredictably and successfully because you don't know to watch out for that..
