Maybe you were in an arena organized by an Indian club ? Otherwise it should just be proportional (modulo internet access and chess popularity): I guess India has 10 x more population than USA, so.... 🤷♂️
Probably has to do with the fact that India is the most populated country in the world, and chess is incredibly popular there.
I am trying to play someone from every country as well. Play the Blitz and Rapid tournaments, that's how I have played people from over 80 countries so far.

But you've played Americans multiple times....but heaven forbid you play multiple people from India. Every game is a chance to improve and learn.
I would imagine that if 10% of the accounts are from any specific country then you will be matched up virtually the same percentage of time. Country of origin cannot possibly by part of the criteria involved in setting a match.

Have you had any suspicious games? maybe youre in the cheater's pool for whatever reason.
i used to think that all players from india where really good and that i seem to get a proportional high number to play against -- then after time i realized that no so they are just as bad as me in some cases-- so i changed my mind about players form india -- it really does not matter does it - my only gripe is i like to chat after i have lost when i have time left -- most players from india don't seem to chat -- not all just some most really but some i have great conversations with late night for me seems to have more india players play and early mornings
