Why are half the players on this site a chicken?

Am I the only person that has noticed this trend?

I'm rated about 1600 in blitz. When I start a game I will usually start a game with a person from 250 above me to 250 below my rating.

When I start a game /w a person 100+ below my rating about 9 out of 10 players accept the game then we play it say gg move on.

When I start a game /w a person 100+ above my rating about 1/2 of the players automatically decline the game.

The only thing I can contribute this to is players of higher rating being cowards with there rating and unwilling to risk losing vs someone lower rated than them.

Your thoughts?

I could go for some chicken korma right now.

That it'd be great if people could be encouraged to learn to use the Challenge function, and not make open seeks if they're not happy to play just anyone.

Too many players with engines and no security to prevent them from using them.

Try ICC.  It's not free, but they do have security against the use of engines.

No, from other sites Einstein.  Did I mention ICC in my post.  Yes, yes I did.

mrguy888

So there are too many players with engines and no security to prevent them from using them where?

If you are not talking about this site then why are you posting?

So, you're an ICC stooge?

transpo

I have seen enough posts on this site of players complaining about the use of engines and inadequate security to prevent it.

kco

then why some months ago the staff here has closed about 700 account for cheating, think they are doing a fine job here.

Have you noticed that almost all of them are way below the level that cheaters would be at? There are cheaters but they get banned.

goldendog

I've seen enough posts of illegal pawn move hacks here--which proves what?

The stooge is the player that plays on a site where there is inadequate security against the use of engines.  Unless of course if your thing is playing against chess engines.  Or you're the type of idiot that plays on the internet with technology that inflates your chess rating, when in fact your OTB playing strength is nowhere near that rating.

I still ponder over the $64 question , did the chicken or the egg come 1st ? Or is it a case of who"s on 1st .

Dinosaurs were laying eggs long before chickens were around. Eggs came first.

It proves that beginners should learn "en passant" capturing before playing online.

kco
