simply, the world aint perfect
Why are people so rude on Chess.com?
I realized that too with one of my opponents (njlax16) even though he didn't give up anything. I just think some people are not so nice while others are.

It's not chess.com, it's the internet. When some people feel anonymous and untouchable, they behave in ways they would never do in real life.
Well said.

I actually like all the rudeness on here. Would of never (briefly) made it past 1600 without it. Another thing with chess players is they always jump to conclusion very quickly.
the truth is that you are one of the rude ones.... you dont call people names, but you have horrible sportsmanship... nobody likes sombody who doesnt resign... It is just unethical to delay games just to inflate your rating for a couple of days...
you do realize that it will go down once you lose all of those games right?

"Nobody ever won a game by resigning" - Tartakower.
And have you ever heard of swindles and timeouts?

I haven't encountered many rude people, but my last game was classic. I offered my opponent a draw at endgame, mostly because I was behind on time 1 minute to his 3 or 4 minutes. He declined and told me to f off. I checkmated him three moves later.
I notice that when people give up a winning advantage, when they lose on time, or when they are just angry, they always insult people. Anyone have a good reason why people just can't be nice to each other?
