Why Can't I Uncastle a Castle ?

I once ran a single lap race on the track that circles a football field. I broke the record for passing the finish line; I ran backwards.

Playing tennis w/ (3) tennis balls would be a variant. I happen to draw the line there. Playing to 30-luv and not 40-luv would not be.
I don't want any TD who thinks dum like jengy to get in the way of how (2) competitors decide how to resolve who is better at chess (w/out it being a variant). If they both wanna remove their queens before the game ?....then so be it. I say let them !
They can solve their differences anyway they see fit. It's their game, right ?
And they don't need some official sticking their nose in their bizness....thank you very much.

Out to Jon:
....like backwardz-bakcwardz ?....or just backwardz ?
I turned around and went in the opposite direction.

Ask yourself a very-very simple question. If someone sat you down and told you about how to move in chess, wouldn't you wanna know why if you did a castle that you couldn't move back ?
I mean, I specifically remember my older brother teaching me chess. I was about 10. And that was one a the questions I had.
For some reason, I accepted that foot soldiers couldn't retreat. Intuitively, that made sense. Also, knowing that on TV, fighters didn't run away & chicken out. They died first.
But castling ?....it was just another one a those moves you could easily reverse. To this day, it still confuzes me as to why I can't....hence the motivation to seek out dialogue on this thread.
I'm sorry. Call me dum & stoopit like jengy & others have, but I'm well within my rights to hold an opposing opinion & steadfastly challenge modern chess rules without getting cyberslapped to tears.

Lola has already been proven wrong. She either doesn't have the decency to admit it or shes bring dumb.
Explaining why she's wrong is pointless. She defies the logic that defeats her with flawed logic. Then, you have to explain to her why that's wrong and she does the same thing over and over again.
Shes probably more interested in enjoying all the attention at this point than anything else....
If you're waiting around for her to admit defeat, don't hold your breath. It won't happen...ever. She needs to get smacked around like a little snot-nosed brat.

(#563) It's like tennis.Rules mention that it is played with one ball but don't mention that 2 balls are forbiden because simply , it isn't needed.
....& I'm about to cyberkick u in 1a urs !!.......

(#563) In chess, rules mention that king has only 2 ways to move.
I think u need to argue vector (or direction). I already thoroughly outdebated you on scalar in that the King has 'only two ways to move' argument. I agree and uncastling doesn't violate the second way ((2) square move).....so pick another angle of attack 'cuz you've lost this one - there buster bonehead.
(I cannot even believe I'm actually helping him w/ his argument. I must subconsciously feel sorry 4him.)

and I'm not drinking either
Well, then maybe u should be. Let's have an etherwine 2gether in a few minutes at 5.
What are we toasting to ?........

Poor Jengy! Lola understands very well. We are those who can't understand how she things. For Lola , chess is an art game beyond rules and regulations. The originality of her thinking about chess does not obay the same principles we are being taught to use when we play.
We can disagree but in the end we have to respect her difference with out being fanatic against what she believes.
Now calm down with Lola, you are losing it!
Nothing is impossible. Perhaps in the future we will see a game of chess where the King will be allowed to castle only Queenside or none at all! Who knows...Perhaps Chess will be more beautiful with out castling.

TY Bishop........now that deserves a poem....from me 2u:
Somewhere there's a composer....longing to take me where I've not gone
Somewhere there's the truth....whose hand I'll hold to slide this pawn
Somewhere there's a game....whose beauty is further than that I see
Somewhere there's a player....who patiently awaits at the depth of me.
Sometimes he's here....the Ghost of Bohemia
Inspiring to push me on this quest
in a passionate search for the soul of chess.

Once upon a time you were able to avoid an incoming opponent's pawn by pushing your own pawn 2 spaces up passing it to avoid taking it or losing it or just to better your position to survive the threat it posed. They changed that rule years ago and if you try to push your pawn 2 spaces forward to avoid the confrontation of your opponents pawn, the opponent can still take your pawn off the board with their pawn as if you left it right where it was. So rule changes happen. I forget what they call it. Lola's dream of an uncastle move may come true one day. It's not so far fetched. Until it does I think Lola should play fair and square. smiles.. ;)
