Why can’t the Queen move like a knight?

When you are asking in the public forums, you are asking everybody. So technically you did ask him. Also, I never wondered that.
You're wrong. Buy an OTB chess set (apparently you have none), place the queen on any square and then move it to another square at a knights jump away - by hand. I promise you it can be done. Just make sure there is no chess engine in sight. These things mess with your brain and then you can't do it. After replicating the experiment 100,000 times, come back to us and report. There must be at least 20 R&D papers in this stuff!

The same once happen for me with a pawn.

Look, exactly what I mean! I could have checkmated on move 16! But according to those stupid rules...

So? Rules are rules. Plus, Queens would be able to checkmate by themselves, making them way to strong. The rules are not stupid, they prevent the queen from being stupidly overpowered.
Perhaps it is the answer and not the question. The answer to the question, why isn't op rated higher?
If it could, basically every player would start a game with e4, qe6 at which point I don't even want to play anymore.
