Well. I published a Forum a Month ago about ''Chess.com Is Dying''. But, Today, I'll Explain why. Well... Chess.com, when it Released, was a New Tecnology of Chess, and it had Other Options if you were bored. Like Forums or Blogs. A few Years Later, Lichess Was Created and Chess.com Players started to Quit. Because Lichess had More Tecnology. Chess.com, Created ChessKid. A site Specially For Kids. But, It growed a Lot the First Month, but Then, Every day 1000 Players Quitted. On 2021, there was a massive problem and Chesskid need to Shutdown. Then it camed back. Today, there are Many Chess Online Games Worse than this One and Better than This One. All That I can Say, Is that This Game will Die. I dont know when but it will die.

A decent attempt at clickbait.  However, in the end, it will prove as unsatisfying as everything else you have put 30 seconds of effort into.

The fact is that you have tried everything without really taking advantage of the site's capabilities- Teaching people who are willing to work hard how to learn how to play chess. and providing an excellent place to find good competition.

You really don't play very much chess-  only a handful of games in the last few months. I see that you have done only a few lessons, and no offense intended, your ratings could be better.

This is a site for people who love playing chess and learning to play chess.

It does take hard work but many people think it is fun.

The endgame drills here are fantastic.  Have you given them a serious try yet?

Why not give learning a try?

Sometimes chessdotcom is like Facebook, making “improvements” that are misguided. Mostly, though, it remains the best chess website and continues to improve. To an extent, Lichess, which is a shadow of chessdotcom, inspires some improvement here as it improves.

I was playing chess online almost a decade before chessdotcom came into existence and have been here since its first year. I’ve played a few games, have done some puzzles, was among the top scorers on the chess trivia quiz before that was eliminated, do some lessons from time to time, and post in the forums once in awhile. I’ve also started some clubs and joined a few that others started.

I see no signs of ill-health. The site is robust. I will die before it does.

Chess.com isn't even close to dying surprise

Or if you want to compare Chess.com with lichess: https://www.similarweb.com/website/chess.com/vs/lichess.org/#traffic

Basically Chess.com has almost twice as many visits as lichess and people stay for almost as long

Just to set the tone for rest of my post I would like to remind that one does not publish a forum, unless you created your own website, and it is called a thread or a topic. In that topic you yet to show anything which indicates that chess.com is dying or that any alternatives is getting ahead.

What variabels are we talking about: new users per month, new user - removed user, total number of users, number of posts in forum, number of blog posts, number of tournaments (official or unofficial), site development and new features... What exactly is going down and since when has it started to go down? Chess.com started in 2007 and Lichess in 2010, so are we talking about dying since 2010, 2015 or 2020?

I wonder if tictactoe.com is also dying. Pretty soon, hangman.com will die too (no pun intended).

Both of them are already dead:

I honestly prefer this site over lichess. Lichess has free puzzles but I enjoy Chess.com’s puzzles and lessons way better. Also, I’m going to have to disagree with the “Chess.com is dying” part because there are still many players. I am not sure if you just wanted attention or if you really just haven’t explored all of Chess.com’s features. If it’s the latter, i’d suggest you explore more :)

Worry less about chess com, they don't feed you and there are more chess platforms to play on. I don't know if it's that with your rating it takes time to find games, if that's the problem I think that if you increase to 1200 rating you will find opponents almost instantly. If you start studying seriously for a couple of months, you will surely improve a lot; With your rating there is a lot of room to improve, so if I were you I wouldn't be discouraged.

The OP is explicit on his profile page that he craves attention.

By what objective measure is chess.com "dying"? Can you articulate this clearly and concisely?

Chess.com is going to prosper as long as they listen to members. Here is my suggestion of the month: Create a bot that can play Duck Chess (assuming this hasn't been done yet).

Can't you see the OP's having a break from reality.angry  Y'all need to stand back,...this could get messy. We've reserved a spot for him in the Chess.com Half-Way House group on Facebook. A few months of quiet solitude and intensive therapy should do it. happy
