1st, stop playing bullet - it's like trying to run before you can walk.
2nd, review your games and identify your blunders and try to stop blundering in the same way in future games.
3rd, study tactics.

thanks. I played it just to see if I had good response times, I already got sick of it. I review them, but I just get angry because I fall for stupid stuff, like knight and queen on king side, queen and bishop on the side with the pawn pinned, so that I lose the rook and stupid forks...I will study more tactics though.
Loads of tactics. The tactics trainer here is quite good but you're limited to five puzzles a day unless you upgrade your membership. The emrald chess tactics server has a good range for free (set them to the lowest difficulty level and just keep going through until you're getting <20% wrong). Chesstempo is another excellent site for tactics.
You're on the right track studying games but don't worry so much about openings. If you're making a bunch of elementary mistakes clearly your focus shouldn't be on opening play. Just play a lot of games and TACTICS TACTICS TACTICS!
Yeah, I quit doing tactics on here because I just couldnt, thanks for suggesting those sites, I will definitely check them out!!
Another thing is to stop having negative thoughts like that , realize that losing is just part of the game and you will do better . The reason I think this is because you said that even in school when it comes test time you can't do well , and this is probably because a negative thought process or feeling pressure to do well . focus on the task at hand not the result .
You should get out more if you only have chess.
You strike me as an A-hole for saying this. I understand you may not have intended to come off that way. Perhaps some clarification would help you not to look like such an A-hole.
I've been through spells of bad mistakes too, I took a break from playing. I also vowed to play when I felt physically good, and to stop and think before each move. Sounds obvious, but rash moves lead to blunders. I would also play on a longer format, perhaps 15/10.
If you don't already, perhaps you should make a checklist of actions you take on every move. For example, always look for checks and captures first, then consider development, control of space and/or key squares, etc. Adding structure to your thought process in this fashion may help you eliminate these mistakes. Longer time controls as suggested by tmcmanu, although I might go for something even longer than 15 10. Perhaps even 45 45.
Halo: apart from the fact that my post was not addressed to you, I believe it is good advice to give the OP bearing in mind his attitude to chess. And watch your language.
I honestly don't care if your post was addressed to me or not, and I don't need to watch my language. I get fed up with seeing remarks similar to yours in which a person is just being an A-hole for the thrill of it. Not saying you were/are, which is why I suggested clarification.
Halo; you don't want to piss us both off. The OP is 14 yrs old. The advice kay gave was to enjoy life. WHY didn't you get that??

True - you don't need to watch your language, any more than kaynight needs to watch (or clarify) his.

To be honest, it did seem a little presumptuous to suggest that the OP should get out more. kaynight, you don't necessarily know what's best for his personal life, and in any case, your remark was off topic.
WHY Do I Keep Making Retard Mistakes?????
Because you keep being a ... chess player.
Just trying to help. The OP laid his soul bare here on a public forum.
Seems sensible enough; just the phrasing was a little harsh.
Anyway, to get back "on topic"... why do you keep deleting and recreating your account, OP? Generally speaking, the more games you play, the more accurate your rating is as a reflection of your true ability. Nobody starts out as a 1200 in terms of their actual ability. Everyone that I know of (including myself of course) who started playing on this site with no significant prior experience with chess dropped to well below 1200 before slowly climbing back up. You said you started playing here in January of 2014? So you've only been here for less than a year. If I remember correctly, I was still below 1200 (or maybe even below 1100) a year after I joined this site. So anyway, what I'm saying is, don't get discouraged, and keep doing what you're doing right now if you you love chess so much. Eventually you'll improve.
If you had a coach I'd blame it on him and call him a retard a bunchof times.
Also, don't worry so much about your rating that you restart new accounts. If you play at a certain level for a few dozen games, your rating will reflect that quite accurately.
Studying tactics may help but it is not everything. I know it from my personal experience, I have 954 rating in Live Chess and 1335 rating in Tactics. My problem is the same as the OP's - I just struggle to improve myself. I win about 50% of my games so my rating in chess doesn't increase. I am usually just too absorbed and thrilled by the game itself so when I actually start winning I usually lose in few moves, most often because of opponent's sudden checkmate or my hanging piece. And no, these situations are never opponent's traps, they are my blunders.
Try not to be so hard on yourself OP.... I still do exactly the same thing...
Except I have been playing Chess since I was 6 years old..... and I'm now 43
Like you I am smart, my IQ is around 145... In life I have great problem
solving skills, deductive abilities and good spatial awareness... all things
you would think would make me a good chess player. But all of my adult
life I have been playing at around 1000-1100 level, much worse in blitz.
I still make stupid blunders, get myself forked and pinned all the time
but I love the game... and those times when I play very well the victories
are that much sweeter.
The key word here is "game".... It's just a game and unless you plan on
making a living from playing chess in the future, quite simply, don't
sweat it. Not everyone can be great at everything, but at your age you
will improve quite a bit I'm willing to bet. The advise on playing longer
games is sage and the 25/10 time control is a happy medium between
short enough for your head to not explode and long enough that you can
just take a few more seconds to tripple check the position before you
make a move.
Just keep reminding youeself, it's only a game and it's supposed to be
enjoyable and fun... It is a very admrial quality to want to push yourself
as far as you can... But in this case if it ruins your love for the game
then there is no point to it...
Just play.... Win, Lose or Draw.... take one small thing from that game,
smile, have a cup of Tea, then play another... Win, Lose or Draw... and
on we go... You will either get better or you wont (I'm sure you will) but
as long as you've had fun and enjoyed it then you've Won, Won and Won.
In january '14 I decided I wanted to get good at chess, so I started watching videos on youtube (openings on chesswebsite and games on chessnetwork), studying openings and playing on this site. And I really started to love this game.
I've deleted and recreated my account countless times now, I just start spiraling down and go right to 600.
This run I thought it was a little different, I managed to stay around 1200 for some time, and now I've just started loosing every game. And it's not that Im outplayed, I almost everytime have the game in my hand, or am in advantage, and just waste it with STUPID mistakes.
I'm not stupid, when I watch pro games I sometimes see the good moves, of course I'm not still really good with calculations 4-5 moves ahead...like in school and uni, I'm among the most intelligent, I study, but when the test comes, I just go full retard.
Just watch my last games (I played some bullet just for fun, same there), it's so bad.
WHY CANT I BE GOOD AT ANYTHING????
this game is the last thing the gives me some thrills, without that I have nothing
