You are playing people under 1000. 2,3,4 hundred points below your rating. If you play higher rated people and win, you'll get more pointsSmile

All manner of wins (i.e. checkmate, resignation, win on time) yield the same points against a particular opponent. No points are added for technical difficulty (not diving), form (not ski-jumping) or artistic merit (not ice-skating). A win is a win, regardless of how many pieces you took.

If you click on the Details tab, then on Show rating adjustment, you will see precisely how many points you stand to gain or lose for a win, loss or draw. You can do this every (rated) game. These numbers change dynamically throughout the game - depending on the results you and your opponents are getting in other games.

There used to be a 1-point minimum gain for a win. Now it's zero.

Thanks for pointing me to the details tab.  The higher your rating, the fewer points you can win.   Play a lesser ranked player and you can lose a dozen, but if you win, you might just 3.  That's why it's hard to really move up in the ratings unless you become a better player.
