Most of the messages I get are from people who get mad because I'm "too slow" (ironically, I usually win against them) or going on angry, disgusting rants after they blunder their queen.
I just gave up after a while. It wasn't worth the effort.

And some people use chat for dating
I disable chat because it’s distracting, especially if I’m playing and there’s not a lot of time
what are they afraid of ?
