Hello !

I need a long time to play correctly.  But the 60' games need 2 hours then I play now 30' games.

I'm curious too to know my best level. The time is a very big handicap for me. I sometimes loose or zeitnot at time games 30' !

Do you think how many time for each move ?

I have begin only Wednesday but I estime between 2 and 5 minutes each move

Before playing 30' games, for my lost games, between 50 and 60% where because the time in my statistics. then progressively I have played 20' 15+10 and finally the 30' .

I noted that I won more 300 ELO since I have stopped the 10'.

I play dairy "1 day" for the moment to try.

Daily gives me more time to think about the board. I also play 15|10 - that seems a good length for me.

Snookslayer :

I don't understand what you mean and Google don't help me.

I see in the profils many players with some or many daily games, and one is very actif on the forum.

I like to milk them for all their worth and beat the big cheeses, because no matter how bad I play they always try to butter me up with their compliments.

Well played, sir.

Someone usually gets in before me with the funnies on a forum, but I got the cream this time. wink.png

I'm sick and tired of dairy games.. I have one game left with one last move in my list.. after that i'm done with dairy.. no matter how actif they are, they play all the same.. they stall games when they are losing..

LazyDog24

I like to play either 30 minute rapid or 2 days or 3 days daily games. I hardly get into time trouble in these and it gives me time to think. Also you spelled daily wrong so everyone is making corny jokes.

lol... Bruno was obviously using google translate and mistyped daily into dairy.

And about the original question... I only take at most one minute per move. I don't really care about daily

I only play daily games at the moment.  I feel I can learn a bit more by taking time pressures out of the equation for now.  The extra time you get to think should help you to cut out blunders and progress better in my opinion. thumbup.png

Unfortunately the mods are lactose intolerant and would suffer rectal issues if they even attempt to rectify.

Sorry, couldn't resist...

I was advised to play dairy games starting out. This site is best for it (casually and without engine use) as well.

It's good. You can lay on your sofa with your feet up, make yourself a nice cup of tea, and play at your leisure. What is not to like?

I'm new at chess after a long lay off, (50 years) and old (65).  I learned in my fire department career the only dumb question is the one not asked.  So what's a dairy game?

Jewel said it best.

Well in case you failed to notice,
In case you failed to see,
This is my colon bleeding before you,
This is me down on my knees, and...
These dairy games are tearing me apart,
And your thoughtless diet is breaking my a$$
You're breaking my a$$.
