I don’t like blitz though I’ve only ever played 5 games. Got my arse handed to me every time. The guy that beat me I beat at rapid. I’d like to get better at blitz though.
I don't blitz or bullet because my old brain just doesn't work that fast anymore. I like 60 minute games, with 30/30. Not too long and not too short.

blitz 3.0 & 5.0 is too fast for my old brain. By the time I have focussed, the game is all but done. If I get sharper, I might try Blitz again.
Blitz 5.5 is almost identical to rapid 10.0, so I haven't bothered too much with that style. My preference Is puzzles and rapid 10.0.

I find blitz to be ok, but I usually only play it because the games take less time. And yeah, some people are better at playing fast than playing good moves.

The much higher time controls improve your chess much more, but sometimes I just don't have that much time

Yes, I agree. You don't really have enough time to use things such as endgame strategy, so all your opponent has to do is study the ins and outs of one opening, and they can create a winning position without being to play an endgame well at all.

Some of my best games are in blitz... Rapid is actually worse sometimes for me because I felt in my intuition a ton so blitz is good for me... I can still play rapid okay though 😆
