Strategy in chess makes your life easier, makes tactics work, puts pressure on the opponent and many other things, every GM, IM, FM, NM, LM has a strong strategical thinking, who has the stronger generally wins.
why is strategically position is very important in chess.

i know that, but my question is why is important that all your peices must be in strategically position?

If your pieces are coordinated, tactics just flow. When then aren't, your position is vulnerable and pawns/pieces come off the board.
Whenever NM David Forthoffer is on live chess, I usually watch his games. Both him and his opponents go about development and then all of a sudden David springs into attack and wins a pawn or more. This is because his pieces were better strategically positioned.

The reason is that pieces that are strategically positioned lead to quicker attacks and keep your opponent from making the moves that he/she would really like to. The point of strategy is to make it positionally and psychologically hard on your opponent to stay in the game. It's like when you put your pieces on good squares, your opponent has to make concessions to get them out, and when enough concessions are made, you can force your certain positions that are favorable for yourself.

Along Erad's lines, better pieces on good squares lead to an easier time finding good moves, and winning positions.

i put my pieces in strategically position already when i play to my cousin last night guys but i still lost the game.do you know guys what is the reason?

WHAT IS REALLY THE MEANING OF STRATEGICALLY POSITION GUYS......? CAN YOU GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE.I REALLY WHAT TO KNOW HELP ME OKAY?
i know but give me an example of pieces that are in strategically position.
That depends on the position. Knowing the nuances, being able to place pieces on the best squares, and so on is what separates an expert from a master.
Just look at some recent top-level games. Both sides will usually play their pieces on the strategically best squares.

Well, barring any big tactical errors, I'd say the reason would be that you didn't play as well positionally. One "strategic position" may not necessarily be the best set-up in a given situation.

I'm not sure we have the same thing in mind when you say strategical position.
What do you mean? Be as precise as possible.

for example is my queen,if my queen is in the middle of the board and no pieces biside or close to it for me my queen is in strategicaaly position.and my queen can go anywhere.

Do you like or know football, rugby, bascket, soccer ...?The players must be a team and play with strategically game and be strategically positioned on the ground.
The pieces must play like a team.

That is like the worse single thing you can do. Do not value your queen too much. And people here are saying that you need to set ALL your pieces on good spots, not 1 or 2 or 3. Why dont you post one of your games here so we can get some more info about what are you doing, and what is that you believe it is good strategic positions. Strategy is not only piece position on board. Strategy is everything, positional play, pawn structure, good and bad bishops and knights, blocking, combinations... Strategy is chess. And if a pieces are in good strategic positions, well, that depends on the game. You can't just say e4 is good spot for N.

Pawn structures are a vital piece of strategy. You'll want to make sure the pawns are connected leaving as few pawn islands as possible, as well as keeping your minor pieces in play so that your own pawns don't obstruct their view unless in the opening game where the pressure is usually built on one or more of the center squares. Connect your rooks, attack while defending, keep the iniative et cetra. I suggest reading some books, or maybe start playing the academy tutorials in chessmaster, or the best of all, get yourself the chess mentor. The demo even if you don't want to invest or support piracy.

if your pieces are standing better than your opponents then he is likely to be put into some form of bind, and in extreme cases zugzwang.
